Head of Accounts
The department is headed by Mr. Tijjani Kazeem Adesola in acting capacity. It pride itself as the financial nerve Centre of the organization and has commendably carried out her mandate creditably over the years. The department consist of the following units:
Final Accounts, Revenue Unit, Cash Office, Payroll, and Loans and Advances.
Final Accounts Unit – The Unit is responsible for preparation of the Financial Statements for Stewardship purposes, leasing with External Auditors for Statutory Audits.
Revenue Unit – In-charge of internally generated Revenue, Collection, Recoding and Custody of Internally Generated Revenue, keeping appropriate records and books of Accounts. Ensuring Lodgment IGR Ensuring Proper Internal Control and Accountability of IGR.
Payroll is charged with the Preparation of Salaries Permanent Staff in conjunction with the IPPIS office. Also keeping of appropriate records of personal Emoluments.
Cash Office – is charged with keeping of preparation of Cash Books and custody of Source document like Payment Vouchers, Retirement Vouchers etc. also, it keeps Petty Cash.
Loan and Advances – The Unit is responsible for preparation of Vouchers for Advances. It also keeps records of Retirement of Advances.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The department has witnessed renovation and procurement of office furniture’s Computers and laptops also procured to ease the work of its staff
HUMAN CAPACITY BUILDING
The management has released staff to various degree and post graduate programs, Staff of the department have benefitted from sponsorship and released for professional programs.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Exponential increase in the Internally Generated Revenue of the Centre.
This was achieved through the use of ICT and computerization of the payment system.
Intensification of enrollee drive from various organization as a primary health care provider under the National Health Insurance Scheme. This has yielded an exponential increase in the number of Enrollees with attendant increase on our Internally Generated Revenue.
Also, substantial increase in revenue is recorded by the Centre as a secondary Health Care provider from referrals under NHIS.
The revenue analysis of the centre from 2013 to Date has shown a drastic increase by more than 200%.
To the credit of the management, within the last four years, the Audited Financial Statements of the Centre for the year 2017 ,2018 , 2019 and 2020.have been submitted to the office of the Accountant- General for the Federation, the office of the Auditor-General for the Federation and the National Assembly.
